LiteracyPlanet Academy has arrived!

LiteracyPlanet's new Academy feature empowers students by giving them freedom to choose from the full library of content and decide what they want to focus on. By putting choice at the centre of learning, students become more engaged, motivated, and invested in their progress.

Why Academy Matters

When learners have autonomy, they're more likely to:

• Build Independent Learning Habits - Autonomy encourages responsibility, confidence, and self-directed learning
• Develop Personalised Learning Paths - Students explore content that matches their interests, strengths, and learning needs

How to Access Academy (For Teachers)

1. Log in to LiteracyPlanet and select student mode from the teacher dashboard
2. Look for the Academy icon on the student dashboard
3. Click Academy to explore the feature for yourself

Note: This is the best way to understand what your students will experience. Spend time exploring the different strands and activities using your student mode student.

How Students Use Academy

Step 1: Select a Year Level

Students can now select Academy from the student dashboard. Once selected they can choose their year level from the left-side menu (Reception through Year 10 available).

Step 2: Choose a Strand

Once a year level is selected, students choose from available learning strands for that year.

Step 3: Select an Activity

Students can choose from a range of different activities within each strand. The interface shows progress indicators and allows students to:

• Navigate between activities using the options at the top of the screen
• Complete activities at their own pace
• Receive a score once work is completed
• Revisit and repeat activities as many times as they wish to improve their score
• Easily see which activities they've not attempted
